On cleared mill sites, old railway land, infill plots between terraces and redeveloped yards, finding knotweed once the diggers are working is a costly shock. Surveying first lets spraying, excavation or on-site burial be built into the programme, with a method statement the contractor can follow.
On old mill and railway land, the first sign of knotweed is often a digger slicing through it. By then fragments are scattered over the site. A survey before groundworks lets the stand be fenced off, treated or lifted in the right order instead of being spread through the build.
It sets out how the stand will be handled, where soil may be moved, how machinery is washed down, which waste routes are used and what is recorded. Contractors, building control and planners all find it easier to work from a single document.
Spraying takes a season or more, so it suits sites with time to spare. Where the programme is tight, excavation or burial on site is quicker. We help weigh cost against time, so the knotweed decision is made before the groundworks quote is signed.

One leaf and a stretch of stem is enough. Use the contact form or message us. It costs nothing.

If it is knotweed, we visit, measure the stand and note what is close to it.

A programme across several seasons, or digging it out when the date will not move.

A written plan for you and your lender, then return visits until nothing regrows.
Every job starts with a free photo check. If a visit is needed, you get a written quote before any work starts — no obligation, no surprises.
